I can't believe it's over!
It seems like such a long bad dream already. I have heard cheers going up in the streets to the Queen, thanking her for chasing the murderer from our midst. And just as many praises to the Goddesses, and to the Prophet, which I suppose does make sense, the way so many people have been attending the services of late! Last time Vaelda and I attended the chapel, the crowd was so thick we nearly lost one another.
Though, I must say, I am terribly sad to hear about James ... I had honestly hoped that the talk was true. I was so looking forward to seeing him back in the court again, standing against the wall, blushing at every woman who wished to treat him to a dance ...
Barely nineteen. I thought Lady Leda was going to burst into tears there, on the dais.
