Well, here it goes.
If this turns sour, too, I might just go back home and leave all of this behind. I will take the lecture from my mother and bear it. I will forget about all the appeal this city and this race held for me, and just go back to Kavanite life as it stands.
I suppose I'd best go pick Tiana up. She shouldn't be kept waiting, even if the only thing awaiting her at the party is even more gossip about the man accompanying her.
